Hello, yesterday in my Twitter stream I happened to see the photo below, I liked it and I tried to set it up as my new Twitter background. Also it might be a quick to do thing it took me one day to be done! Setting up a new background for my twitter page with one of my preferred photo. The goal was to use the full screen to display the photo.
That above is the original photo. As you may see It needed to be edited. Some rotation first. After the rotation editing I try to simply upload it to my twitter account and it was displayed top left; it did not fill the full background of my Twitter page! I then started a web search to find the right way to set it up as desired and I was buried by the results. One of the best articles on the topic was this:
How to Design a Custom Twitter Background Ima ge http://www.seom ofo.com/antisoc ial-media/custo m-twitter-backg round.html
After having read it (I took 30 minutes) I realized I had to enlarge my photo and retrying to upload it. My first easy attempt did not was successfully and after some other attempts I thinked it might exists a web site that could do the job for me and free. So I spent some hours trying to find something useful and ... once again among the results buried me I found this great web site:
TwiBack — Upload images, pick time & ; your twitter background and twitter profile icon (avatar) will change aut omatically! http://www.twib ack.com/en/
That was the only one real working in the following terms: you upload your own photo or image to use as full or tiled background, you may select more than one background among the available (uploaded or provided by default), you may set the time: day, week, month you want to automatically change your background. After my search I stiil had the issue of how to fit my background to cover the full screen of my Twitter page. When I tried to use some other backgrounds of that web site I noticed its default images had the same size and file type: 1280x900 pixel. Most of all, they worked; I mean they covered almost all of my screen height and width (twitter page)! So I try to resize my photo with 1920x1200 pixel and it fit well for my screen resolution as you may see below.
Photoshop helped me a lot, to not exceed the 800 KB Twitter limit of the file size with the window that appears, in the JPEG saving feature (where it is possible to see on the left the size value increaseing/decreasing when you set the bar for the compression).
I hope that day spent only to set up my photo as my new background may save time for peoples who have to do the same. Bye the way, that common photo (for the common observer) hide a great philosopher, is there anybody write in a comment who is him and where?
Thank you.
